  1. My breath left my mouth in a ghoulish squeal as I watched my double double with grilled onions hit the ground. The seared bun flopped onto the sandy beach shore like a dead corpse on a cold metallic table top waiting to be embalmed. My hand started shaking in earnest as I remembered the two-hour wait in the busy In N Out off of Lincoln and Washington. The Culver City In N Out was the closet save the one off of Venice Boulevard and Kiera had been already late to her date with Travis.
    “Well, that sucks…” Travis pointed out her green nails a contrast to the now sandy burger as she picked it up. “I mean you really wanted that burger, you’ve been talking about it for weeks now.”
