Original Poetry: A Bridge To Tomorrow

I’ve had a taste of the stars, the moon,

I’ve been engulfed by the fog’s lovely hugs,

and yet, nothing really compares to you.

…ha, just kidding

Here I am for better or for worse,

here I am, where I stand

leaving roots so my flourishing beauty

can grow forevermore

a generation of girls looking up

to my branches for which

they can see the progression of my growth

and see theirs is wroth cultivating.

Can’t you see now,

how far I’ve come

how many burnt bridges arose

from  the destruction in your wake.

Now I’ve got a chance

to see life from a new persepective

and now I notice

all of the flows

I thought remained smothered beneath the surface.
